Before you work with a real estate agent that you found on social media, do this first. So on social media, there are a lot of realtors. How can you tell though, that they're actually a skilled agent? So the first tip I have, you can look up an agent's transactions on HAR.com. And you can see if they do a lot of deals. And really a good agent is experienced and they're going to be doing a lot of deals. The other piece of advice obviously is that you're going to want to interview and ask the realtor questions. But I have like some specific recommendations as to what questions you really need to be asking. A good question that you might want to ask them is, what are your specific processes to ensure that each client is taken care of during the transaction? Another good question is, what are your processes for updating me throughout the transaction? See, you want to work with a realtor that has defined processes. It shows that they're organized and they're just not winging it, right? And the more organized they are, the easier it's going to be as a client. Like they're going to stay on top of their things. Nothing's going to go sideways. And when they're on top of things, it's less stress for you. Another good question to ask is, can you give me an example of a challenging situation that you encountered and what did you do to resolve it? And the last little tip is that as you're talking to this agent, you should be really searching for and trying to get a sense as to whether or not this person has your best interests at heart. So that's something that you really should be looking for in an agent.
