For an average-sized home, a typical staging package can cost somewhere around $3,000-$6,000. While this is no small sum, we do think staging should be considered an investment, and one that home sellers should seriously consider, especially in the case of vacant, empty homes.
Staged homes tend to sell faster and for more money than if they weren’t staged. Staging helps showcase the home in its best light, and it helps homebuyers envision themselves living in the property. Staged homes also look better in photographs, so when homebuyers are shopping online and looking at listings, they’re more likely to book a showing.
Lastly, it’s counterintuitive but staging can actually help smaller spaces look or feel bigger. That’s because one can actually see what kind of furniture can fit inside a room or space. For example, often times a secondary bedroom might feel small, but when you actually put furniture in it you might see you’re actually able to fit a queen-sized bed, a couple night stands, and still have room to comfortably walk around.
